The Role of Surface Tension for the Equation of State of Surface Tension Quark-Gluon Bags

چکیده

The temperature and chemical potential dependent surface tension of bags is introduced into the gas of quark-gluon bags model. The suggested model is solved analytically. It resolves a long standing problem of a unified description of the first and second order phase transition with the cross-over. Such an approach is necessary to model the complicated properties of quark-gluon plasma and hadronic matter from the first principles of statistical mechanics. In addition to the deconfinement phase transition, we found that at the curve of a zero surface tension coefficient there must exist the surface induced phase tranition of the 2 or higher order, which separates the pure quark gluon plasma (QGP) from the cross-over states. Thus, the present model predicts that the critical endpoint of quantum chromodynamics is the tricritical endpoint. PACS: 25.75.-q,25.75.Nq

Surface Tension Prediction of n-Alkanes by a Modified Peng-Robinson Equation of State Using the Density Functional Theory

Through this study, the ability of a modified Peng-Robinson (MPR) equation of state in predicting the surface tension of n-alkanes based on the density functional theory approach was investigated and compared with other studies. The interfacial layer thickness and the density profile were calculated simultaneously at different temperatures from triple point to near critical point using the modi...

Density and Temperature Dependencies of Liquid Surface Tension

In this paper the density and temperature dependencies of surface tension are investigated. Using the Lennard-Jones (12,6), as an effective pair interaction potential, a linear expression is derived for isotherms of g /r2  versus r2 for some normal and ChloroFluoroCarbons (CFCs)</...

The Prediction of Surface Tension of Ternary Mixtures at Different Temperatures Using Artificial Neural Networks

In this work, artificial neural network (ANN) has been employed to propose a practical model for predicting the surface tension of multi-component mixtures. In order to develop a reliable model based on the ANN, a comprehensive experimental data set including 15 ternary liquid mixtures at different temperatures was employed. These systems consist of 777 data points generally containing hydrocar...

A New Surface Tension Model for Prediction of Interaction Energy between Components and Activity Coefficients in Binary Systems

In this work, we develop a correlative model based on the surface tension data in order to calculate thermodynamic parameters, such as interaction energy between components (Uij), activity coefficients and etc. In the new approach, by using Li et al. (LWW) model, a three-parameter surface tension equation is derived for liquid mixtures. The surface tension data of 54 aqueous and 73 non-aqueous ...
